Monitoring

About Monitoring Room

The place people go to monitor the situation — whatever the situation is. One page per live situation, the physical signals, and what the crowd calls next.

What it is

Two things, in this order. First, a record you can check: was a crypto platform you use hacked, is there an earthquake, an outage, a live situation worth following — each on its own page, with the date, the source and the Situation Level. Second, a place to call what happens next: a dated yes/no question on each situation, your probability, the crowd's, and a score once it resolves.

Free to play, by design

No stakes, no prizes, no cash-out, ever. A call costs nothing and pays nothing; what you get is a track record (how scoring works) and the reward of being right. Monitoring Room is information and a game of skill, not a market, not betting, and never advice about what to do with a number.

The data

Every number on a page names its source — USGS, DefiLlama, NIST NVD, NASA EONET and the others, each attributed where it is shown. What we publish is open: the Situation Level, the MSI and its history, each question's crowd consensus, the accuracy ledger. What stays closed is yours: individual calls and per-forecaster accuracy are never published or sold. Terms, schema and how to cite: /data.

Who builds it

Monitoring Room is built and run by Jukka Blomberg, one person and a set of agents, from Helsinki. Write to hello@monitoringroom.com — corrections to any record are welcome and are logged.
